COLOURFUL CANCER FUNDRAISER MOVES TO KIVI PARK

SUDBURY – The Canadian Cancer Society will host its 5th annual Colours of Hope 5K event in Sudbury on
Saturday, September 16th at 10:00 AM. This year, the event has been moved to Kivi Park; Sudbury’s
newest, premier outdoor attraction. You’ll be transformed in more ways than one during this fun-filled
event, which celebrates life and raises important funds to fight cancer.
Colours of Hope 5K Sudbury is a family friendly, non-competitive 5k walk/run where participants come
dressed in white and leave covered from head to toe in a rainbow of colour (non-toxic of course). Coloured
powder will be thrown in the air as participants walk or run the path, with a massive colour party kicking off
the event.
Registration fees vary based on participant age, but all participants are asked to fundraise $100 for the fight
against cancer. There will be prize draws for participants who raise over $100! The fundraising goal for
Sudbury this year is $20,000!
This event is family-friendly, and children under 5 can participate for free! All funds raised from the Colours
of Hope 5K Sudbury event go to support the Canadian Cancer Society’s mission to eradicate cancer, and
improve the quality of life of people living with cancer.
