“4th Annual Cancer Centre Walk/Run/Bike Kicks Off at Kivi Park”

SUDBURY, ON – The Northern Cancer Foundation and Kivi Park were doing their best to ward off the cold this morning as they set to launch the 4th Annual Cancer Centre Walk/Run/Bike for Hope – the 3rd of 6 events in MOVE – The Kivi Park Fitness Series

“It’s always great to have the opportunity to get out of the office to visit Kivi Park and we’re so excited to once again host the Cancer Centre Walk/Run/Bike here,” says Tannys Laughren, Executive Director of the Northern Cancer Foundation, “It’s a great opportunity for families to get out and get active while raising some funds for the Northeast Cancer Centre.

The beautiful trails at Kivi Park will serve as the backdrop for the Cancer Centre Walk/Run/Bike for Hope where participants can run, walk or bike 1km, 3km, 5km or 10km trails.

The local outdoor activity enthusiasts at Adventure 365 are Start and Finish Line Sponsors for the Cancer Centre Walk/Run/Bike and all events in MOVE – The Kivi Park Fitness Series.

“Adventure365 is passionate about getting people outside and active, these events are easy to support as they embody our passion for adventure, as well as supporting the local community by keeping all funds raised through these events within Sudbury.“ says Melissa Anderson, Special Events and Marketing Manager at Adventure365.

The Cancer Centre Walk/Run/Bike for Hope will take place on Sunday, May 27, 2018. Registration is $35 and includes an event t-shirt and lunch. Kids under 12 can participate in the 1km courses free of charge. Participants are encouraged to collect pledges and any participant who raises $100 in pledges will have their registration fee waived.
