Community Legal Clinic- legal information and summary advice
- legal representation in certain cases
- community education to vulnerable groups via presentations at community agencies, schools, and employment programs
- law reform/group advocacy for workers
Legal Services - information, legal advice and representation for low income non-unionized workers; handles:- workers' rights including employment standards
- wrongful dismissal
- termination/severance pay
- human rights applications such as being dismissed from work because of a disability or because of asking for accommodation or a change in work duties due to a disability
- health and safety issues including penalties/punishments or dismissal for expressing health and safety concerns
- advice regarding all areas of Workers Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) claims, but representation only for specific types of claims such as Work Transition Services and Occupational Disease Appeals
