Service Description: Provides training to Metis individuals with programs geared towards finding and keeping work or increasing career skills such as:

  • provides on-the-job experience by paying employers part of an employees wages
  • helps develop skills to prepare for the job market, including life skills, job readiness, literacy and upgrading classes
  • assists individuals to enter or re-enter the labour market
  • assists individuals to secure employment outside their immediate residency
  • provides employment experience to benefit clients, the community and / or the local economy
  • assists youth through internships, on the job training and community service projects
  • provides the tools necessary to assist individuals with disabilities secure and complete training and/or employment
  • provides summer employment opportunities for Métis students
  • helps Métis students with financial assistance at various Colleges and Universities across the Province
