Description: Join St. Joseph’s General Hospital Elliot Lake as our Manager of Mental Health and Addictions!
SJGHEL is seeking a dynamic and hands on Manager, Mental Health and Addictions to join our leadership team! Reporting to the Director, of Long-Term Care and Community Programs, this leadership role is responsible for guiding client care, operational oversight, and program development across hospital and community based mental health and addictions services.
The ideal candidate will drive quality improvement, support system integration, and foster collaboration among interdisciplinary teams and external partners to ensure care is safe, effective, and aligned with organizational values and best practice standards. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to influence the delivery of mental health and addictions services, lead transformative programs, and make a tangible difference in the lives of clients and the community.
The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing or social work from an accredited institution, with a master’s degree considered an asset and be registered in good standing with the applicable professional regulatory college. They will have at least five years’ experience in mental health and addictions services, including hospital or community-based programs, and two years in a leadership role, preferably in a unionized healthcare environment. Experience leading interdisciplinary teams and quality improvement initiatives is an asset.
