Provides traditional based, holistic health, well-being and healing programs and services, access to healing ceremonies and emotional and cultural support * provides opportunities for cross-cultural education/learning for persons of all nations to enhance cultural awareness, sensitivity, competence, and safety
Traditional Healing Services and Cultural Support
offers healing and cultural support services through two programs: Indian Residential School(IRS) Resolution Health Support(Social Worker) and Cultural Support
Program Services
Community workshops in the Elders’ Centres for groups or home visits for individuals, follow-up appointments, teachings or access to teachings, consultation with elders, support with ceremonies and healing/talking circles, networking, and assist in the coordination of healing services, support and assist with Healer with healer duties that involve ceremonial preparation, intake, documentation, filling of herbal prescription and referrals to other health care providers, assessments, supportive counselling, and case management as required
